Un lamentable atentado sucedió en Nigeria, donde al menos  120 personas murieron y 150 resultaron heridas en las explosiones de bombas en una importante mezquita en Kano.
Cientos de feligreses estaban congregados en la mezquita para escuchar un sermón, en una región aterrorizada por ataques del grupo extremista islámico Boko Haram.
Inmediatamente después de las explosiones, testigos indicaron que densas columnas de humo podÃan verse desde la distancia.
El palacio del emir de Kano está cerca de la mezquita central.
El emir, una de las figuras islámicas de más alto rango en Nigeria, está actualmente en el extranjero.
Hasta ahora la organización Boko Haram no se ha atribuido responsabilidad, pero el ataque tiene todas las caracterÃsticas de los lanzados por el grupo extremista islámico en el norte de Nigeria.
