El Premio Nobel de EconomÃa 2008 Paul Krugman participó en el Seminario Internacional»Nuevos Paradigmas en Competitividad», organizado por ESAN.
En el seminario, el economista Paul Krugman indicó sobre la importancia de la educación para el despegue económico, principalmente en América Latina. Donde en su cuentas de redes sociales tiene bastantes seguidores, donde plasma su apreciación sobre el papel de la educación.
En uno de sus mensajes indica textualmente:

«Perú ahora es menos que Chile y esto por la calidad en su educación«
-  «América Latina en general no hace una buena tarea en el sector de educación»
-
«Para tener un crecimiento económico en el Perú, se debe empezar con la educación»
- «Brasil es un paÃs polÃticamente demócrata y que se preocupa mucho de la educación y la pobreza»
Las afirmaciones del Premio Nobel Paul Krugman no tienen nada novedoso, todos somos conocedores de eso, al menos en teorÃa, todos hablan de educación, pero nadie toma el debido interés. ¿Existirá alguien que realmente le dé el interés a la educación?…
La calidad de la educación depende mucho de la calidad de vida de sus docentes y estudiantes, donde son los peores pagados y la inversión por estudiante es Ãnfima por parte del estado en comparación con los demás paÃses.
